Located in the centre of Oswestry it's a large Wetherspoons with plenty of seating. We went Saturday morning and the service was excellent. Would recommend.
Have visited this Wetherspoons many times. Our last visit wasn't as good as others. We had wait a very long time for our food. Did have an apology from the gentleman who brought food to our table . Had cod, mushy peas and chips. The fish was delicious, chips were fine, but very little mushy peas and we had to ask for the lemon. When the lemon arrived it was two very thin slices that was only enough for one fish. My daughters visited the ladies before eating and said they were horrible. Did bring it to the attention of the staff. I visited the ladies after our meal, they were appalling. Most cubicles were wet on the floor and seats, toilet tissue and other items on the seats and floor, some of the toilet holders were hanging off the walls, sink area was wet and you couldn't use the mirrors as they were so dirty. Looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the day before or even longer.
Good pub grub! Family friendly. Competitive prices. Quick service. Can get noisy. guest beers from local breweries.
Very good staff. Quick service. Generally attracts an agreeable clientele. Good range of real ales. Above reasonable food at very reasonable prices. In many ways a typical Wetherspoons pub & that bit better than a lot of others.
