Lovely place to stay with lovely pub 5min walk along the canal
Lovely homemade scones, nice coffee and friendly staff set in lovely surroundings.I'll definitely be back.
Didn't stay here so can't comment on the accommodation but what a glorious spot to stop and enjoy a coffee and delightful bacon sandwich. You can also take a relaxing ride along the canal if you have enough time.
We had a really nice brunch here sat in the garden which is dog friendly. I had a sausage and egg sandwich and my husband had bacon and egg. Free range eggs and excellent quality sausages and bacon served with delicious multi grain bread. Crisps on the side. The tea is real leaf tea and was delicious as was the filter coffee. We were given a friendly welcome. In the afternoon we went back for afternoon tea. This time we sat inside. Cakes were home made and delicious. I had coconut sponge with lime icing. Lovely fluffy sponge and great tangy lime frosting. My husband had the fruit tea loaf with butter which he also said was delicious. They sell postcards, books and gifts also. Well worth a visit.
