Welcoming and cosy country pub. Good menu but limited choises for gluten free vegetarians. Dog friendly too. Ours got a sausage and was forever after dragging us back in
Stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting my mum in the nearby orthopaedic hospital. The room, food, service and staff were excellent. Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Look forward to returning and exploring the area. Highly recommend!
Excellent. Food was piping hot and tasted fantastic - steak and ale pie. Generous portions. Pudding was lovely and presented well. Service was quick. Very polite and friendly. Great atmosphere. Better than other restaurants in the area. We will be back.
Pleasant location next to the castle and lake and noisy ducks! Good hotel. Friendly staff, nice food, efficient service. Functional room with comfortable bed. Reasonable rates. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
