The park is lovely with masses of pretty flowers, trees and shrubs, a fountain, children's play area, band stand, huge grassy area, crazy golf, benches all round, tennis courts, bowling green, and public toilets. In summer there's usually an ice-cream seller and often a van with someone selling hot drinks and snacks. Also music some Sundays and some events, like family days, battle re-enactments, and a balloon festival.
